Liverpool & Arsenal target Johnson rejects new Manchester City contract offer

SkySports reports that Manchester City midfielder Michael Johnson has rejected the new contract he has been offered.

The much sought after 20 year old midfielder has been a integral part of the Manchester City squad.

Although the England U-21 star has 3 years left in his current contract, City had approached him with a new 5 year contract due to the tremendous progress he has been making.

But Johnson very clearly and firmly rejected the new contract offer which is sure to alert quite a few clubs who have shown interest in the player.

Clubs like Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham & Everton have all shown interest in the player and this might be just the cue they needed to follow up on the interest.

Although Johnson having rejected the deal, negotiations are still ongoing between his club and representatives.
