After a very unusually quite Summer in the Transfer Market by European Champions Manchester United, the speculation has finally started flowing in. Or maybe Sir Alex Ferguson has actually upped his efforts in pursuit of a Lethal finisher.

Leading Newspapers had reported that Manchester United had completed the signing of Tottenham Hotspurs Bulgarian striker Dimitiar Berbatov. But just a day later the same Tabloids reported that this information was untrue and has infuriated Tottenham officials. Who in returned increased the price for the much wanted striker.

Also the Red Devils were shockingly linked with X-Arsenal main man Thiery Henry. But these claims were clarified fast and the speculation gradually died.

But a report in the Manchester Evening News has re-ignited the fire. Linking United with not only Henry but also David Villa.

The news claims that Ferguson is in for the partnership of Villa+Berbatov or Villa+Henry.

According to me it is just a smart tactic by the Scottish manager to bring down Tottenham’s asking price for Berbatov down to a reasonable rate. But as always to see how this speculation goes, we will have to wait and see.
