Man Utd midfielder Mikael Silvestre has been recovering from a serious ligament injury and is now approaching full fitness, but he is unlikely to get a game with United this season.
It has been reported this week that Gordon Strachan has been trying to get him to move to Glasgow on a one-year loan deal, but today it has been announced that Mark Hughes is also keen on taking him across Manchester to play for City.
The Sunday people reports that although Celtic and Sunderland are also interested, Silvestre is not keen to move away from the Manchester as his family are settled in Cheshire, which makes Mark Hughes the favourite to sign him.
They also say that United are willing to let him go for just £750,000, which makes him great value if he can return to the form that made him a regular in Alex Ferguson’s side.
