Milan ended its bad start to the season with a 3-1 win over FC Zurich at San Siro. Jankulovski gave Milan the lead during the injury time of first half. Pato Doubled the score line at 57th minute. Borriello scored at 74th minute to put Milan in a commanding position. Djuric scored one for Zurich to make the score line 3-1.Ronaldinho started the match from the bench.
Zurich had a header from Stahel disallowed at 38th minute, due a controversial offside decision. Shevchenko and Pato were in the attacking line, while Ronaldinho started the match from bench. Though Shevchenko did not score, his performance seems to be the start for good things in future. Shevchenko hit the crossbar with a powerful shot at 37th minute. Jankulovski linked up well in attack and did give some good crosses.
Zurich forward gave a scare to Milan with his shot hitting the post at 55th minute. Kaka was not at his fluent best. The win gave much needed reprieve for the coach Ancelotti. Milan will face Zurich in return leg on October 2nd.
