Sunderland are denying that Keane is about to move, and even in his autobiography he mentioned the dislike Spurs have of him, so a move to White Hart Lane would be particularly odd. However, reports have emerged that Keane is unhappy with his current club and a position at Spurs would be a great challenge.
Joe Kinnear, however, sees Keane as a future replacement for Alex Ferguson:
“I think he is a Manchester United manager in the making, to be honest. He has done a great job.”

Keane is a boyhood Surs fan so he’d love to manage us one day but he’s a loyal man and will stay at Sunderland for awhile. Also, he won’t put up with a director off football…

I have said it so many times. Roy Keane will be the best choice for Spurs. I would be such a happy Spurs supporter if Roy Keane signs as manager for Spurs. Then we should get rid of Comoli and the continental system. Roy Keane would play the players in their RIGHT positions and revert to a proven 4-4-2 system, that works in the premiership. But most importantly Roy Keane would install some needed STEEL into the team, this is the only recipe for surviving in the premiership – and go forward.
Roy Keane coming to the spurs would be an excellent pick up for the club
He would add hardness to the team and would bring confidence back to the team
For Keane to work as our manager he would need to be left in charge of the managers
Any players that are soft would be shown the door straight away
He would bring in true quality players
