Posted by Former Chelsea Stars David Lee and Gareth Hall have stated how they believe Liverpool cannot sustain their current success and win the title this season. This follows Liverpool’s victory over Chelsea on Sunday ending an 86 successive game unbeaten run at Stamford Bridge. Although pundits are talking about a possible win and many see them as the favourites this season, they also appear to reliant on a few players and one or two injuries could cost them.
David Lee instead believes that Manchester United are Chelsea’s strongest rivals for the title:
“United. They have fantastic players and an equally fantastic coach. They have been there and done it and know what it takes to win the league.
“Liverpool, I am not convinced that they can win the title. I mean, if (Steven) Gerrard gets injured, then they get affected. They don’t have the depth in their squad as Chelsea and United. They haven’t won the league for like about 20 years.”
Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka also received criticism as a result of his lacklustre performance, with David Lee saying:
“Anelka is basically a hit and miss for Chelsea…He wasn’t good against Liverpool at home but against ‘Boro, he was just awesome.
“Anelka is someone who needs a lot of space to work on. The Chelsea pitch is small.”
Hall added:
“Anelka is an outstanding striker but I am not convinced about him…This season would decide whether he can fit into the team or not.”

Considering Liverpool have won against both Utd and the chavs without Torres, they won without Gerrard for 70 mins against Utd, they’ve had Mascherano, Skertel, Babel, all injured for games. they played their first three games without Masch, Babel and Lucas who were at the olympics. They’ve already proven that they have a quality squad that can cope without their top players. Makes Hall and Lee look kinda stupid really. But I’m glad they have their heads up their arses – I want them to write off Liverpool. Number 19 here we come.
I very happy for the big time charlies to keep writing us off, it just provide more fuel to our determination to prove them wrong.
Who are these 2 Ex-players anyway, they must have be part of the era when Chelsea won sweet FA for 50 years.
They can’t even be original, “if Stevie G gets an injury the team will suffer”, although I though Stvie had a good game on Sunday, he in no way dominated it like he has for us in the past. he didn’t have to reach the superhuman heights of dragging the game by the scruff of the neck to bail Liverpool out. Why, because the whole TEAM put in a perfoamnce to beat Chelsea.

Gareth Hall has 139 appearances for Chelsea from 86-96 , and David Lee 196 appearances back in 1969.
Really Chelsea fans, your club wasn’t formed when the Russian took over.

It is immaterial if Stevie G is injured / goes missing, as has been proven over the last two seasons ie. vs.United

And the Point is …. That even if those two are nobodies. They are entitled to voice their opinion and we as a News Site are entitled to bring it to you, the readers.
And even before i mentioned who Hall & Lee were you should have expected them to have Won nothing. As Chelsea hadn’t really set the world on fire with winning a lot of trophies. So that is irrelevant.

I am neither a Chelsea fan not Liverpool fan, but as a neutral, i would like to say that Chelsea have won it more recently that Liverpool have, by a big margin. And if history does count at all, recent history does. Which goes in the favor of the Blue side. Sugar Daddy doesnt really amount for much .. its just a common factor now. Not just a One off like Chelsea were a few years back.
