David Moyes, the Everton manager, has heaped praise on 20 year old midfielder Marouane Fellaini whose third goal in four games came last night to secure a needed win against Bolton Wanderers.
Fellaini came to Goodison Park in a £15million deal and although having taken a while to adapt from Standard Liege to a Premiership style of playing, his goal last night sealed the first win for Everton in nine games.
David Moyes said:
“I think we’ve signed an up-and-coming star of the future. If you ask anybody in Belgium, they will tell you exactly what they think of Marouane.
“He’s doing well in a lot of ways, carrying us along with his goals when we should be helping him along, so we need to give him a lot of credit just now.
“Hopefully the centre-forwards, and Tim Cahill, can now get their fair share of goals as well.”
“I didn’t see the goal coming because it was a game littered with mistakes.
“I even thought when Fellaini headed it that it was going to bounce out. But he’s done it again.”
