New Argentina coach Diego Maradona has hit out at England, ahead of his first game in charge of the national side, against Scotland.
Maradona has claimed that the Scottish people love him as a result of his goals in the 1986 World Cup match against England, and as a result of the bad blood between the nations.
“They love me in Scotland,”
“I am going to a country where they adore me because the Scottish celebrated the goals I scored against the English in 1986.
“The Scottish have always had bad blood with the English, they are rivals.”
“Glasgow? I will be putting out my strongest XI for the game against Scotland.”
