Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari is still keen on signing Manchester City star Robinho according to the Brazilian media. Throughout the summer Robinho was expected to make the move to Stamford Bridge from Real Madrid, but a £32 million transfer to Manchester City occured on the deadline day instead.
Despite the players great start to the season at Manchester City, scoring eight goals in only eleven Premier League appearances, Scolari has insisted that playing at Chelsea would allow Robinho to develop more fully:
“I am sure that Robinho would be the best player in the world if he came to play at Chelsea,” he told Brazilian paper O Globo.
“The Chelsea doors are always open to him.”
