Portsmouth manager Tony Adams has stated that he is delighted with their recent 2-2 draw against AC Milan:
“I’m delighted with my team’s performance.
“I thought they were excellent. It was a really positive performance, the tempo was great and the crowd enjoyed it.
“Games like that are fantastic. That’s what I want to be doing with my life.
“This is where I want to be and as long as the players are performing like that then I’ll be very proud of them.”
Despite his happiness, there was a sense of disappointment at the inability of Portsmouth to hold on to their lead:
“At the moment we are struggling to put teams to bed but they have some excellent players and if you switch off then they punish you,”
“I was very entertained by my players. We can work on picking teams up from set plays but it was a fantastic free-kick.”
