Another move for Shaun Wright-Phillips!?! From City to Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur are said to be keeping a keen eye on Manchester City’s Shaun Wright- Phillips and may have to wait till the summer transfer window before the deal is done.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has always been a big fan of the English international winger and had also wanted to sign him at his former club, Portsmouth.

However Redknapp failed to capture the player who made his way back to Manchester City from Chelsea in the summer.

Nevertheless, if reports are to be believed, Redknapp is once again planning a swoop for the talented player. He was hoping to bring in the player in the January transfer window, however he won’t be able to do so as according to FIFA rules a player is not allowed to play for more than two clubs in a single season.

The 27-year old made a cameo appearance for the Stamford Bridge side before joining the City of Manchester Stadium side. This means that even if City agree to sell the player, Redknapp will have to wait until the summer transfer window to complete the deal.

  1. Biggie says:

Where the hell will he play!!! 3 Right Wingers… in the same team!!!!!
Why don’t we buy Joe Cole & David Beckham too… come to think of it we might as well get Simao.

What Spurs need is a LW with a natural left foot….
