In what is believed to be the latest twist in the tale, Liverpool have reborn their interest in Chelsea left back Wayne Bridge.

Liverpool were interested in Wayne Bridge during the Winter transfer window of last season and also the latest Summer transfer window, but any deal failed to materialize. Forcing Rafael Benitez to sign Dossena, who has till an extent proved to be a flop. And with the departure of John Arne Risse to Roma, Liverpool have been left asking at the left-back Spot.

Rafael Benitez, a huge fan of Bridge’s ability, believes the Chelsea star is tailor made for the spot. And the attraction of first team football which is scarce at Stamford Bridge has lured Wayne to want to make the move.

From Wayne Bridge’s perspective, a move to Liverpool or Manchester City, either would do. As both would be able to compete with each other with wages as well as a regular playing position & City have shown keen interest as well.

But, Roman Abromovich had lost to Manchester City in the summer when Robinho choose to sign for the Citizens ahead of the Blues. And the Russian Billionaire hasn’t forgotten this yet, and Russian’s rarely do forgive.

Thus it is very unlikely that Wayne Bridge will be allowed to leave for Manchester City, instead if the player hands in a request, his only choice would be Liverpool.

Thus the much sough after move, Wayne Bridge to Liverpool may actually, finally happen. The Transfer fee is rumored to be somewhere around 8million.
