Liverpool’s star striker Fernando Torres has spoken of his disappointment at the frequent injuries he has received this season, which has seen him sitting out many of the Red’s matches this season, unlike his sensational debut season for Liverpool in 2007-8 where he scored a total of 33 goals.
The 24 year old’s recurrent hamstring injury was triggered in the Champions League match against Marseille.
Torres’ also seems to feel that he was rushed back into playing for the side, and appears cautious about returning too quickly:
“I am a little disappointed, but all I can do is move forward. It is worrying me because it has happened a few times.
“After this latest injury the important thing is to recover without rushing a comeback date and trying to make sure it does not happen again.”
