Harry Redknapp will step up his bid for Richard Dunne with a £3million offer for the Manchester City defender.
The Spurs boss believes Dunne, 29, could be sacrificed by City in their January shake-up – despite only signing a new fouryear deal in July.
Dunne was pursued by Redknapp, then at Portsmouth, last summer – as well as his White Hart Lane predecessor Juande Ramos.
And Redknapp is still keen to sign Dunne as he wants stronger back-up for Ledley King, who regularly misses games because of a long-term knee problem.
City boss Mark Hughes is the only Premier League boss likely to make several January signings – and it is likely that Dunne would have more first-team opportunities at Spurs.
Meanwhile, Spurs midfield man Tom Huddlestone admits he is flattered by comparisons with legend Glenn Hoddle.
He said: “To be compared to someone like Hoddle is a great compliment.”
Utter tosh from a very poor site.
I cant improve on that comment Jack. Seems right on the mark to me. If Spurs couldnt sign Dunne for £5M close season when he was really pissed off about Sven, what the hell makes twitchin Arry think he can get him for £3M now? Bollocks Im afraid but the cockneys will believe it.
Total rubbish
