Although the actual results for who has won the Balloon D’Or haven’t been revealed, the Mirror newspaper has pointed out that pictures of the winner with the trophy have already been published in a French football magazine as a sneak preview (see http://www.francefootball.fr/FF/Ballon_Or_home.html) and on the top of the football we can see a reflection which seems to be Ronaldo.

If the photo is genuine then we can at least rule out certain players, such as Fernando Torres. The Portugese winger is, of course, the favourite to win the trophy and it would be more of a shock if he didn’t win it.
