Arsenal’s pink booted hero, who came off the bench in the Champions League match against Dinamo Kiev to give them a fantastic win, is to move to Spartak Moscow to replace Spartak striker Roman Pavlyuchenko who moved to Spurs.
His performance in Kiev will, no doubt, have given him a boost of confidence after he found difficulty settling into the Arsenal squad, and at 20 years of age Bendtner still has time to develop as a player.
Sources from Spartak Moscow had said:
‘It’s very important to Nicklas that he has an absolute trust in Laudrup.
‘Laudrup was an idol to him as a youth and they know each other very well. Nicklas is pals with Laudrup’s oldest son Mads. They played together for the Denmark youth team.
‘Spartak are prepared to pay £4-5 million for the Dane but it’s more likely they’ll take him on six months loan and buy out his transfer in the summer.’
Now, according to a source close to the club, a deal has been reached between the two parties. No official statement has been made as of yet, however, so this could be slightly premature. Although Bendtner may be keen to move, it is questionable whether Wenger, who has up until now pursued a strategy of filling the first team with youthful rather than experienced players, would be so keen to give up Bendtner after he has started to show real promise.

I think this move would suit both parties. However Wenger must invest the money and bring in someone like Klaas Jan Huntelaar.

after his performance against burnley i really hope this story is true. i have lost all patience in him, hes too lazy and his passing isnt up to our standards. all he does is slow down or mess up our attacking play
