According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool striker Fernando Torres looks set to be out of action for at least the rest of the year as a result of his recurring hamstring injury he sustained in Liverpool’s game against Marseille.

The 24 year old was sent to a specialist in Barcelona and, according to recent reports, he will not have recuperated within a fortnight as was originally anticipated by the Liverpool staff. This means he will sit out the following six matches and, after Monday’s goalless draw against West Ham, it seems the pressure will be on Robbie Keane to deliver goals and keep the Reds top of the table.

  1. Hopefully Torres won’t be out too long. He’s one of the best players in the world.
