Two-time Champions League winner Deco: ‘Playing at Chelsea is easier than Barcelona’

31 year old Portugal national Deco has admitted that football is easier at Chelsea than Barcelona. Deco made the move to Stamford Bridge in June, after Euro 2008 on a three year contract, and has commented that the reduced media scrutiny allows him to focus on the football:

“It is easier here than in Barcelona to concentrate on football, because we train away from the city and we are not involved with the press nor the fans.

“In Barcelona, we had a lot more pressure because every day we had two newspapers talking about the club and the players. The press was always there, at each training session.”

Given that Deco scored on his Chelsea and Premier League debut and went on to win the Player of the Month award for August, Chelsea will no doubt be pleased that life at Stamford Bridge is easier.

It is good for a player to have confidence even if things are not to his side, and for this ,its good for Deco to feel at home and the condusive environment has been offered to Chelsea although the team is not doing fine. But mind him that has a big task to go through, because it shall mean nothing when they continue losing games.

For him,has to show that its good to play in England, and that he enjoys, by contributing greatly for the team.
