Nigerian national Victor Obinna, who almost joined Everton last season on a season-long loan which failed because of inability to obtain a work permit, has spoken of his hopes of making a move to Everton at some point in the future. It seems a regular playing position at Everton is a higher priority for Obinna than occasionally playing for Jose Mourinho’s Inter Milan:
“I read talk about my future in the newspapers and especially that I was going to Everton,”
“I’m happy here at Inter and I am part of the squad but I do need to play more if I am to keep my place in Nigeria’s national side.”
With Yajubu and Vaughan injured, it seems Everton have to look for replacements in January and an Obinna loan deal looks to be the most likely.
