Chelsea Football Club have failed with a shock bid for Valon Behrami.

After an impressive Euro 2008 tournament for Switzerland in the summer the 23-year-old completed a £5million move from Italian side Lazio to West Ham United.

The uncertain financial situation of the London club has seen the midfielder linked with a number of clubs, and it is being reported that an offer of £8million from the Blues has been snubbed.

“We have received offers from Chelsea, Juventus and Sevilla,” Behrami’s agent Alessandro Beltrami is quoted in The People. “Valon will probably move to a top club in the summer.”
