Barcelona are planning an amazing £45 million raid on Arsenal for star duo Cesc Fabregas and Robin van Persie.

The Daily Star says Barca feel confident they can land the two players, having successfully lured Alexander Hleb away from the Emirates.

Fabregas has always been on Barcelona’s wish list and now Van Persie has been added to it following a meeting between coach Pep Guardiola and sporting director Txiki Beguiristain.

A Barca source says: “This is not the first time that Barca have looked at Van Persie, but there is a feeling that he has now matured and is ready for the move.”

Barca midfielder Yaya Toure could be used as part of an exchange deal.

Sell them to Barca, but tell them it’s £200 million each!!! It’s about time Arsenal made a stand against Barca and Real as Ferguson did over Ronaldo

  2. pink panther says:

yeah right – actually Barca are going to buy Ronaldo from Man Utd as Fergie wants to cash in and put one over Real Madrid at the same time

Barca aren’t a stupid club and neither is Arsenal. While RVP and Cesc could quite possibly walk into the starting 11 of any club in the world, I don’t see Barca splashing that kind of money for players they don’t need. They already have 4 top class strikers: Krkic, Messi, Thierry and Et’o – where is RVP going to play? His favoured right side is already occupied by Messi and I’ll donate a kidney if Guardiola opts to bench Messi for RVP. As for Cesc, his possible positions are already taken by Xavi and Iniesta. Barca are on a steamroll at the moment and they’re not going to break the bank to fix something that isn’t broken.

Tell them to make 70 million

With arsene at arsenal, anything is possible, after all, he was lured to selling some of the best players arsenal have ever had, so i don’t think this is gonna be an exception. Arsene once said this, and i quote “this team is going to be built around CESC” so we wait to see if he keeps to his words, or will once again be lured to selling one of the best prospects the team has ever had. And for BARCA, i think they are begining to turn arsenal to their “hunting ground”, if they can’t afford selling their own players to arsenal, then i see no reason why we should do the same. I think BARCA are still feeling the pain of loosing CESC to arsenal.

I just can’t imagine if Fabregas and Van Persie leave Arsenal. They are important players for gunner. Fabregas has mentioned that he will back to Barcelone when the contract expire.

  9. man says:

    loooooooooooooooooooool, wat a joke,

if they wre to be sold 2 barcelona they both would cost in total £80-90M!

  10. Fabregas says:

Fabregas is one of the best players out there! His performance at the Liverpool match a few days ago really highlighted his passion for Arsenal. I heard he yelled at the team, “You are not fit enough to be wearing those Arsenal shirts”. I suppose he really got mad at the team but the outcome was that Arsenal won!
