Portsmouth has appointed Johnny Metgod as the new first-team coach at Fratton park, following Joe Jordan's departure to join former Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp at new club Tottenham Hotspur.

Portsmouth manager Tony Adams is reportedly keen to recruit former team mate Patrick Vieira, currently playing for Inter Milan, after having been instilled as Pompey manager following Harry Redknapp's departure to Tottenham Hotspur.
