Harry Redknapp will step up his bid for Richard Dunne with a £3million offer for the Manchester City defender.
The Spurs boss believes Dunne, 29, could be sacrificed by City in their January shake-up - despite only signing a new fouryear deal in July.

Spurs' manager Harry Redknapp has spoken out about left-back Gareth Bale and has backed the defender to become a top player in the Premiership, despite telling him to improve his defensive skills.

Last night saw Liverpool receive another defeat to Spurs, just 11 days after having left White Hart Lane in defeat. By half-time the Reds found themselves 3-0 down, and although an early departure from the Carling Cup is no cause for concern given their position in the Champions League and Premier League, it is a worrying sign of things to come for Benitez.
