Reports have emerged that Liverpool Captain Steven Gerrard will receive a £1m penthouse in The Steven Gerrard Tower to be built on the Palm Jebel Ali, in exchange for using his name and promoting the structure.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard injured Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva during a training session at the Reds' Melwood training ground. After Gerrard's tackle, Leiva fell heavily onto his shoulder and the medical staff rushed to assist, and lead the defender to the medical treatment room.
Benitez must be hoping the shoulder isnt badly damaged, otherwise Leiva will be joining Liverpool's long list of injured players along with striker Fernando Torres, defender Martin Skrtel and Fabio Aurelio.

Ex-Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has commented that despite Liverpool currently being at the top of the Premiership they are unlikely to win the title. Mourniho instead said:

Liverpool's star player Steven Gerrard has admitted that he regrets considering making a move to Chelsea back in 2005 when ex-manager Jose Mourinho tried to sign him for £20million, and later for a record £32million. It is looking increasingly likely that Steven Gerrard will play in their Champions League group D qualifier match against Marseilles on Wednesday, after his training session on Tuesday.
Gerrard had missed Saturday's draw with Fulham due to a groin injury he sustained during the previous weekend's Bolton game.
